In the context of enriching artistic practices and fostering cultural exchange, the Japan Directors Association organized two international workshops focused on voice work in 2017 and 2019 in Tokyo. The association is widely recognized for its commitment to artistic development in Japan. Collaboration with You Yamagami was essential to the success of this project.

This event enabled Japanese actors to discover and experience the "Nadine George Voice Work" approach.

The aim of the workshop was to promote intercultural exchange in the fields of theatre and vocal training, and to strengthen cooperation between Japanese and international performing arts professionals.

Japanese actors benefited from practical workshops led by Laurent Courtin. The vocal work—centered on freeing the voice and developing a deep understanding of the body—was at the heart of the training. Innovative exercises allowed participants to explore their vocal potential while integrating techniques drawn from contemporary pedagogy.
